Welsh Open

Originally a prestigious amateur event for Welsh players, the Welsh Open became a ranking tournament for the first time in 1992.

Televised extensively by BBC Wales, the tournament has produced some classic matches in recent years, with five finals since 1999 being decided in a final frame.
